How can i make this build even cheaper but still keeping the gpu and cpu?

If you are Newegg newsletter member, they constantly have sales. i.e. the one I got today had an code for an ASUS DVD burner for $12.99. $36.99 for G.Skill 8gb 1600mhz RAM and they are always having sales on monitors of various sizes... They have what they call "Back November" sales.

Not sure where that price for Windows came from, Newegg has it for $99.99 + $2.99 shipping:

Plus, Newegg constantly have sales on that as well. I got a copy about a month ago of Windows 7 for $79.99 at Newegg.

well, since this build consumes less than 300w max (because it is only used for counter strike and surfing the net). the second tier capacitors won't undergo much stress. also in california, the electricity here is pretty cheap compared to other countries so the failed 80+ rating won't matter anyway. since this is a build for a friend who wants his first computer, we are trying to find a better price to performance ratio rather than quality.

btw this computer might get replaced in less than a year (which is dumb imo)
