I just built my first computer, I have the OS (Windows 10)on my 250 GB SSD, I am now trying to format my 1 TB HDD. Do I format as MBR or GPT.

For reference my mobo has UEFI (it's a Asrock H97m pro4)

Thanks!

Solution
You can go for either since it's not your boot disk. There are no speed differences.

MBR has limit of 2.2TB drive capacity and limit on amount of partitions (4 per MBR drive). It's more compatible with older OS/backup software and legacy BIOS. You can use GPT on any Windows 7 and Vista system as a non-booting data drive.
