I'm in a bit of a pickle....

Every once in a while I would get a BSOD with wdf01000.sys error code - One of the trouble shooting solutions was to update my bios. I went into Gygabyte's app center and downloaded all the latest bios updates - rebooted and mobo wont boot. I don't get any display and neither my mouse or keyboard light up when plugged in. I tried putting my HDMI into the MOBO and out the video card - still no display. I suspect that something is wrong with the mobo now...

Power button works, LED on power button works, all case and CPU fan works. Normally my mobo will light up with red LED lights when my computer boots (these lights no longer light up).

I tried shutting off the pc, unplugging everything off the motherboard and then replugging everything and no luck.

I plan to spend the whole day troubleshooting tomorrow. If you guys can help me out with a list of things I can try before hitting up a repairman, that would be extremely helpful.

I have access to another PSU for testing and my MOBO still has a couple days left for me to exchange it (worst case scenario)

thank you.

Probably should have just set up the bios correctly in the first place. Try removing the MB battery and unplug the computer for about 10 to 15 mins. This will reset the bios. Then see if you can boot into bios and set it up correctly. Start with setting optimized defaults, the enabling XMP Profile1 to set the memory to the correct speed and timings. Save settings and exit bios.

What did you mean by downloaded "all" of the latest bios updates??? You should have only downloaded the latest one. How did you install/flash it?

Sorry for being unclear, I meant to say downloaded all latest drivers + latest bios update. I will try removing the MB battery when I get back from work tomorrow and let you know if it worked. Thanks for the quick response. I installed it using Gigabyte's update tool (yes this is stupid, I know I should have used a bootable flash drive instead)
