If I had a time machine I would use it to go back and tell myself No lol. If you wanna Mac buy a Dam Mac. :D So I built my PC about 4 or 5 years ago. All the hardware was picked around this.

I think now it’s running slow ish and games seem to be jerky. The fan is loud, all the light in the case need to be sorted and it’s messed up…arrrrr

So Fallout 4 is coming out!! (I posted in that thread by the way)

My steam library is at 134 GAMES! So I mainly use it for gaming, some work and Plex media server. My PC is a full tower stays in the study. So if I want to play games I have to going in there. Hopefully with steam link or steam machine I could play in the Living room. Steam machine…. More money.

Questions
Still up to scratch? And suggestions?
- Processor?
- Graphics?

Noisy Fan
-Water cooling?
Any other improvements?

Its time to upgrade your graphics card and if your CPU Fan is loud make sure it is clean. Use compressed air from a can to clean out the dust. Check to see if your power supply is also the cause of your loud fan noise - if its loud then replace the Corsair TX750. If after you clean things and its still loud then remove the graphics card and run the computer using the integrated graphics to rule out the noise is not coming from your graphics card.

I have an i5-2500k and over clocked I can get i7-2600 equivalent performance on 3dMark 11 and PCMark. Your i7-2600 should be fine for current generation AAA games - you likely can get a mild over clock to if you want.

But your biggest issue right now besides the noise is you're going to want to upgrade your video card to play newer games.

Thank you JQ

On the graphics side as i am not longer limiting my hardware. NVIDIA or stick with AMD. Idont know much about graphics but i think people prefer NVIDIA?
Would there be any conflicts with my set-up if use changed to NVIDIA?

Just going by steam they recommend NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB ? Nvidia GeForce GTX 970?

I could spend about £200 - £250 push at £300

Stop buying Steam games you can't play and buy a decent GPU! :)

Screw Steam Link and build a mATX rig you can just pick up and move to the TV. Unless you have some physical disabilities it takes all of 20 calories of output.
