Sapphire R9 290x 8gb Vs Asus r9 290x 4gb vs r9 390 8gb

Hello,

I am thinking of getting one of the above cards the price for the sapphire r9 290x 8gb is £15 more than the asus 4gb, is the 8gb worth the extra £15, the r9 390 is same price as the asus. I know it may sound stingy but I would like your guys advice on which one to get.

390 for sure the 290x has more stream processors but performs exacly the same as 390 that has lower power draw and architecture changes for 1080p 8gb is overkill but since some games are starting to require a lot of vram like shadows of mordor ,lords of the fallen ect id get the 390.

Hi, the R9 390 I am looking at is the XFX or powercolor PCS+ one whereas the r9 290X is a sapphire. Isn't Sapphire a more reliable brand?

Sapphire is considered the 'best' of the AMD brands, but the 390 is a better card than the 290.

Get the R9 390: Slightly lower power draw, probably less noise than the R9 290X cards and it's the same price as the 4 Gb Asus R9 290X.
