I'm in the middle of building a AMD PC and I'm using a ASUS M5A 78L-M LX Plus Motherboard. I got an AMD FX-4130 CPU to put in it, but I later found out through some research that I would have to update the bios with an older CPU in order to use it. So... I bought an AMD Sempron.
Put it together and still no post. I bread boarded and found out it's something with the ram because it beeps when I take out the ram but when I install the ram there's silence and no post. The ram is G. Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL9S-8GBXL (8GBx1) DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9-24 1.50v.
Is the ram just not compatible with this motherboard? Is it bad? Do I have to update the bios?
Thanks in advance.
