With Christmas coming up, I am sort of stuck in a dilemma. I usual get some extra money around Christmas and was thinking about upgrading my rig. I am going to get a closed loop water cooling system as well as another hard rive and another 8gb of ram. My problem is that I would like to upgrade my gpu. I am currently using an r9 285 and can either get a second r9 285 or r9 380 for around 150-200, or I can spend around $300 for a 290x. The 285 will leave me some extra money left to spend else where, but some people say there are certain problems when using crossfire, where as the 290x will leave me with no more money to spend. My specs are listed below.

SPECS:
CPU: fx-8320
GPU: R9 285
MOBO: M5A99FX PRO R2.0
RAM: 2x4gb of G.Skill Ripjaws X series
Cooler: 212 EVO
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750w B2 Power Supply

Id recommend against crossfire since it's a 2gb card. If you can sell it for a hundred bucks, I'd just grab a reference r9 290 for $200 off newegg. For $100 that's a worthy upgrade. But the 290X isn't worth what you'd spend for the upgrade you'd get.
