Can anyone tell me the size and name of the screwdriver you use to undo the cpu cover. Also when cpu is removed do you need a cleaner of some sort to clean old thermal past off. And lastly the best thermal paste to use on cpu. Sorry if these seem daft questions but you could write on a stamp what I know about pc's. Thanks for reading.

You shouldn't need to unscrew anything besides maybe the heatsink, in which case a regular phillips screwdriver will work. The CPU cover has an arm that lifts up to open it:

Also you should use 90%+ rubbing alcohol to clean the thermal paste off both the heatsink and CPU. A tube of Arctic MX-4 thermal paste for like $8 on amazon is pretty good, easy to apply and remove too. http://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Performance-Compound-Interface-Material/dp/B0045JCFLY/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1446922110&sr=1-4&keywords=thermal+paste
