So I had concerns with CPUID giving me the resting temperature of 60 degrees. So I went on the forums and found this forum which was useful:

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1977635/amd-5400k-temperature-question.html

I downloaded Open Hardware Monitor and its reporting my Core Temps are 15-25 degrees resting.

However this is the first build I made, the thermal paste came already pre-applied but during putting it on top of the CPU I had various concerns still, I had to press a lil too hard for me to be comfortable with the lock to keep the sinks and fan in place, along after it slid a bit down. I hope it slid in the right direction, its very good on their. I just hope I did everything right.

But both me and this person had this issue with CPUID, which one tells the right temperatures then?

UPDATE: My fan remains very low, and quiet, which leads me to believe the Open Hardware Monitors Temperature is correct?

Solution
I have occasionally had a problem with AMD CPUs when it comes to temps not reading correctly. My FX8350 wont read correct temps under 20c. So what you're getting is pretty low temps and that's all the better. I would suggest checking AMD Overdrive as GhislainG stated. Do you have an aftermarket cooler installed as well? Or are you using one that came with CPU?

I downloaded Overdrive, and checked the temps on it, I was scared out of my life when I read 'THERMAL MARGIN: 70c', but I then read to find out that was actually a good number and "how far it was away from dangerous" levels I presume?

Its however a relief to find that out, that I did it right...

---------------------------------

With regards to coolers, I wanted to pitch a last question... I have 2 spots on my case for fans, in the front and back, the more larger one in the front came with the case, however I leave the spot in the back empty...should I establish a fan their as well? Or is it fine?

I have 3 small Integrated Internal Fans, one on my Graphics, Power Supply, and CPU. My Graphics have never had a issue temp wise, it keeps its self shockingly pretty well managed.

Max temp for your CPU is 70c. As for fans, I would use as many as you can get in there. If you run out of fan pins on your board, use molex to 3/4 pin adapters. I would have the larger one in the front as intake. Front and bottom should be intake, top and rear exhaust. It might be wise to invest in an aftermarket cooler for your CPU as well. I would recommend the Hyper 212 EVO. Works wonders for me.

a good explanation about Thermal margine you can find in here

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-2122665/understanding-temperature-amd-cpus-apus.html

if the tjmax is 100 c them his temptrature is 100-70 = 30 c when he is running in full load it gets lower if you see it in 10 c it means 100-10 = 90 c then you need to change your cooler. Download speedfan from here

http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

it reports much better the bios temperatures and the sensors on board the temp 1 is the system the temp2 is the cpu package temperature and it gives even tempratures for the hard disks.

You tested it using an AMD FX CPU? Only AOD is accurate for that CPU.
