What would be my best possible upgrade for my gaming rig?

I have been planning to upgrade my rig, but as of lately I have been running into some tough calls. I just wanted to consult this site for what would be the best course of action for upgrading my current build. I have about a 250$ budget, and my current specs are as follows
Pc spec:
* M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ 760G motherboard
* msi hd7850 Twin Frozr 2gb
* PSU corsair cx 600W
* Amd Fx6300 3.5gh

I really want to get some good upgrades for fallout 4. I am hoping that i can get 60fps at highish settings.

I would've said overclock the CPU and put all the money toward a graphics card, but .. ugh. That power supply is not very good and I would not risk overclocking with it.

But, it looks like you can sell a 2GB 7850 for around $100. So I would do that, get an r9 390 or GTX 970 for about $300, then use the remaining $50 on a better power supply and overclock the CPU as far as it'll go.

In the next month you should be able to find some great deals on PSUs if you check every day. Right now seems to be a bit of a lull in the deals, but you will find things like a quality XFX or Seasonic 600W unit for $35. For overclocking, stick to tier 1 or 2 of this list and check prices often:

One more thing, if you are still using the stock CPU cooler, you'll probably want to replace it with a bigger one or you won't get far overclocking. The FX-6300 is not that great at stock, but you tend to be able to overclock them significantly and they do well at it. A few cheapish coolers that are also good:
