I recently bought a Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X used from somebody. Their card originally wasn't working because the vBIOS needed to be updated. All's well with my computer except for games. After playing games for an extended period of time, the amount of time played varies, these things have happened:
-Artifacts on screen
-Game freezes for a few seconds
-Second monitor colors become inverted
All of these eventually lead up to the game crashing. Sometimes a couple of these things will happen before the game crashes, sometimes nothing at all will happen before the game crashes.
I know that I have a good enough power supply, the EVGA 850 G2, and I'm using two separate connectors for the GPU power.
So far the only thing I've tried is re-installing drivers after using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), and I've considered trying other driver versions.
I'm open to suggestions for things I could try to fix this, including AMD driver versions that others have used and had no troubles with.
