Planetside 2 lag spikes?

Planetside 2 is a very intensive game, and your computer isn't exactly the greatest. When are you getting these lag spikes? Are they constant, or are they in specific situations?

Processor is very weak for PS2
I usually run 5-7GB of Ram when in PS2
My 760 struggles on med-high, your GPU is very weak as well.

PS2 is simply hard to run, always has been, and hasnt really gotten any better (though they removed PhysX because too many people would turn it on and complain about lag)

It seems like it happens during battles but it stays decent at frame rates when there aren't anything happening but as I venture into the battlefield it lags like crazy

so thats probably the issue and I can see that the game is very intensive
