R9 380 vs gtx 960 / OpenCL vs CUDA

Which is better for premiere pro and after effects CC, OpenCL or CUDA? I am trying to decide between the AMD R9 380 and GTX 960. I am also taking into account directx 12 and overall gaming performance. But around 60% of my time will be in ae/pp and other 40% gaming.
EDIT: What about the sapphire r9 290 for 200-220$? It runs hot and loud though, and is an older card, so is it worth it?

I would go with the 960. It would out preform the R9 380 in both premiere pro, aftereffects ETC and gaming.

960 does not out perform 380 and gpuboss sucks for comparison but for premiere and rendering programs yes cuda acceleration is better.For gaming 380 wins. but not by much id say about by 3-5 %

IIRC the F@H client is an OpenCL app and the 960 is the better performer there as well.

I know the 380 is better for gaming, but if I'm doing gaming and video editing, which is better? Also I found the Sapphire R9 290 for $200-220, but its hot and loud, so would that be worth it?
