If you have any suggestions for improvements within that price range please let me know. Also it would be nice if I could find a cheap 120-144hz monitor instead of this 60hz one, but it's not a big deal atm.

Is WiFi an issue? Because if you're using a desktop you're better off losing the Wifi adapter and running on LAN. That will be much better in the long run.
