Hi,

I want to buy a the best cpu cooler for 45€, can go to 50€ if needed.
I want to overclock my 3.4GHz CPU to 4.5 GHz if possible.

I've been looking at these:
Cryorig H7
RAIJINTEK Pallas
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Any good? Or does anyone know a better one for the price? Max CPU cooler height: 162mm.

Solution
Every tower has L x W x H dimensions. Length usually isn't an issue because motherboards have a pretty standard layout. Width is only important to those who have obstructions either above or below the socket area. What is of major importance is Height. This is the distance between the cpu lid and the side of the case. You stated your case will accept towers upto 162mm in height. The R1 is 169mm. The PH-TC14PE is 171mm. The Noctua NH-D14 is 160mm. So yes, the d14 will fit.

Sometimes case measurements are not totally accurate. Tower height may be generic between the different versions, so whereas a standard panel side would be 1 height, you make it a window panel, that height is several mm smaller.

Cryorig H7 beats the 212 in every category except price. It's usually @€5 more. But considering it has 0 ram clearance issues, fits in 99% of cases at 145mm vrs 212 @159mm, has better performance at idle and OC loads, its €5 well spent.

If looking at Raijintek, the ereboss or Themis would be better options.

Thanks for the help

Although I'm thinking about getting some more money and then get the Noctua NH-D14, as I've seen in reviews this cooler is pretty good.
Or is there a better one for 60-70€?

The d14 is an amazing cooler, basically the standard to beat (or try to) for many years. It does have a few drawbacks though. Ram clearance can be an issue for those who use all 4 ram slots and have raised heatsinks. For those with just 2x sticks, this can be gotten around by using slots #2-#4. Even then it may be necessary to slide the outer fan up slightly (doesn't affect cooler performance in the slightest).
It's a large, twin tower, so can really cramp some smaller cases and sits at 160mm from the board, so some slimmer cases don't have the side panel clearance. You'll be squeeking it at 162mm, but it will fit, if barely. If you have a high mounted side case fan, it'll have to go. It'll handle @230w, so 4.5GHz won't be an issue, you could easily do @4.7-4.8GHz at gaming usage although torture testing will max it out.

The Cryorig R1 universal, Phanteks PH-TC14PE are comparable coolers

Will the Noctua NH-D14 fit? because I have no idea what you're talking about.
