I switched from wifi to a Powerline Adapter, and now I cannot connect to game servers

I can still browse the web and stream at speeds I haven't had before, as the wifi signal in my room is poor, borderline unusable. I switched to a powerline adapter last night and haven't been able to connect to game servers since. Can anyone help?

I fixed the issue. I had to install the powerline utility (really defeats the whole "plug and play" thing they advertised all over the box), which had its own issues being incompatible with Windows 10 (had to find a workaround download on the TP-Link website) and then upgrade the firmware.
