Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. Also, this is my first attempt at a 100% DIY build, so I apologize for any noobness.

So far, the system has been rock solid for the last few weeks, but just yesterday and today the system would hang during a boot at the infamous ASUS Q-Code 55, aka "No memory Installed."

A hard reset on either the motherboard reset button or the case front panel reset button reboot the system. This last boot though, the American Megatrends POST screen displays "Overclock Failed!" on the bottom of the screen. The system booted just fine after going through the UEFI screen.

What could be causing this? Is this an indicator of a looming failure of some kind?

I've already checked the connections for the RAM and made sure my CPU cooler is not over tightened.

Thanks!

Components:

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VIII Hero, BIOS version 1001

VGA: ASUS GTX 980 Ti Poseidon
Power Supply: Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 850W
CPU Cooler: EK Predator 240
Boot SSD: Samsung 850 Evo

Thanks for the quick response! I booted this last time with all default settings since I had some work to do and that seemed to work just fine. I'll crank everything back up and take some screenshots of the UEFI when I'm done.

I ran the BIOS TPU utility and it got me to a new clock of 4.6Ghz at a peak voltage of 1.424 and I ran real bench a couple of times to validate.

Now for whatever reason the memory is stuck at just under 3000Mhz when I was getting 3400Mhz prior to running the TPU auto-overclock thing.

For the record, I've tried adjusting just about everything and can not get my RAM to be stable above 3000Mhz. 3000 sure isn't bad, but I would like to be getting the 3400 it says on the box.
