My family and I have been on the everything 1500 plan from sprint for about 7 or 8 years, therefore grandfathering us in. The plan is absolutely perfect! Unlimited data, plenty of minutes, and unlimited talk. However since sprint recently announced that they have will begun throttling us (Already been affected by this) on top of their horrid coverage and speeds I really want to switch networks. I am now faced with the dilemma of paying out the ass for all the data that we use for verizon or just sucking it up and staying with sprint. I figure between the 5 lines on my plan we use around 60GB of data. I know that sounds like a lot, but everyone has spotify, social media, etc that adds up to around 10-15GB a month per person. So my question is what would the best network with the best coverage that I can get the most data for 5 lines for the lowest price be? I appreciate any answers!

If you do decide to switch.... might I suggest that you continue hold onto your Sprint plan at least for another month or two.. just in case things don't work out with a different one. No since in giving what what you have...

The thing is though sprint is limiting everyone on our plan to roughly 4.6 GB before we start getting throttled. We are already being throttled and it is not even half way through the month. On top of being throttled their network and coverage is horrible.

This isn't any of my business... but do you have Internet in your home? Couldn't you offload some of your data through your home internet instead of your wireless carrier? On my ancient plan from AT&T, I get 3GB/month but since I use my home WiFi for almost everything... I usually don't use more more than a few hundred MBs each month.

Yes we do have internet at home. And everyone is connected to it when they are home, but it is mainly twitter, instagram, spotify, etc. that uses up data on the go.

OK... gotcha!!

I'm NOT going to recommend any particular carrier because they basically all suck... and I'm only with AT&T because they were the first wireless carrier when I bought my first cell phone. I can tell you what I've learned over the years, though. AT&T is currently the only/last carrier that still offers subsidized phones. So if you switched to them you could get onto one of their Family Share Plans.

I've never been with Verizon... but I've only heard over the years that they do have the best coverage in the USA... but that comes at a price... they not only charge the most but are also very controlling and strict with their network.

I don't know much about T-Mobile.. but I have heard that they probably offer the lowest priced plans... but don't have the coverage... but I think it's probably comparable to Sprint's.

One thing you should also do is look at this coverage map I'm uploading.. it might be able to help you figure out if you'll get good signals from your location...

Verizon coverage wise definitely looks like my best bet. I think I am going to order a prepaid sim card and try it out for a month.
