Just as the title states, every now and then my desktop will act possessed. Most of time it works like it should, and there are other times where it powers on for a second only to power off like there was a power failure. No BSOD, no nothing. After 5 to 10 minutes the desktop finally powers on like there was nothing wrong and I can game for a few hours. I tried reseating the video card, reinstalling the cpu and h80i, reseating the ram (started with 1 stick and gradually added the other 3 sticks), check for possible shorts, disconnecting my hard drives, etc..... Only I haven't tried is tried replacing my psu. Only because I have a cooler master haf xb case, so its a giant pain and I don't have a spare power supply to use.

Below is my desktop setup. I built it over 2 years ago and recently upgrade my card to the 980 Ti 3 months ago. My i5 is overclocked at 4.3Ghz .

Either bad PSU or your video card is sucking too much power from psu. Try using just onboard video if your motherboard has it and see how it works.

If your pc works fine with on board video then this means you need a higher rated PSU.
