Those games don't need the power of the GTX 970, so I'll leave that up to you... will you change your mind about the type of games you prefer in the future... only you can answer that.
A SSD is always preferable over a HDD. SSHD are sort of a hybrid. Personally, I don't like them.
Ideally, you'd want a SSD big enough to hold as much as your current HDD. Then you can just clone the HDD to the new SSD. Next best, is a SSD at least as big as the used portion of the HDD for cloning, and then using the HDD for stuff you add in the future. Last best would be a SSD of the size you can afford, but too small to do a clone. In that case, you'd have to do a clean install of Win
and all your apps, dividing the apps up between the SSD and HDD.
