Good morning,

after some time thinking about upgrading my pc, I finally decided to put some money down and go for it.
What is the biggest bottleneck for this build?

MoBo: Vanguard B85
CPU: Intel i5.4670 (3.4 Ghz)
8 gigs of RAM
GPU: Palit Geforce GTX 660

I'm mainly using this pc for gaming / video editing.

The options for the upgrade would be:

MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G

or

i7 6700k with a fitting mobo.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi,
Your CPU is still Tier 1 in performance and gaming, so i believe there will be no need to replace the CPU right now.
It will be better investment to change the GPU however.
Biggest bottleneck in any build is the mechanical drive or HDD. If you don't have a SDD, it doesn't matter if you have the fastest RAM or CPU or GPU, it will be all for nothing.

Thanks guys, really fast and nice help, I'm glad I have asked here. :)

I already own a 500 gb Samsung EVO SSD, so slow storage will not be a problem. I'll look into getting a GPU upgrade then! :)
