Hi,
i recently changed from a midi tower coolermaster case to a high tower CM storm trooper. But since i changed, i have experienced coil whine from my psu when i go into the witcher 3 and start playing. It changes depending on, if i run with v-sync or not. also if i go into msi afterburner and turn up or down the max voltage my GPU can have it makes some slight changes in the sound. Also the coil whine is interfering with my headset so i can hear the buzzing in my headset, mostly when there is no other sound in the game.
Even in some not so demanding games like LOL i can still here it but not near as much as when i play The Witcher 3.
When we changed to the other case, we cleaned the PSU because there was a lot of dust and we also cleaned the other components.
So is there any way to fix it? or do i have to change to a new psu?
If needed my setup is the following:
I7-2700k (not OC'ed yet)
MSI Gtx 980 4GB
16 GB ddr3 Kingston 1600 hz Ram
256 SSD Samsung 840 pro
4TB SSHD
1TB HD
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V GEN3
I hope that someone can help with my problem
Sincerly
