On core temp some of my temps weren't showing up so I read a thread about if you uncheck it then reboot it will reappear. Any other way then reinstalling the whole thing? The best thing I can do is I can go into F8 mode, cmd, and advanced tools such as hardware checks startup repair, and system restore.

I've never heard of that problem regarding temps. What CPU do you have? Many CPUs simply don't have a temp sensor for every core.

Unchecking a CPU core in MSconfig means you can't use that core. It's basically disabled. I've never tried unchecking all of my CPUs, so IDK what would really happen. I'd think it would mean Windows can't use any CPU cores and just gets really confused and blue screens because there's basically no CPU.

Since I've never tried something like that, I am not aware of any solution that is less drastic. Sorry that I can't be more helpful. When I get home in a few hours, I could run up a VM and test it if you want.

Have you tried a system restore? That should solve the problem without much headache.
