Hia guys, I recently started using hwmoniter after getting an r9 270 gpu and noticed my cpus temp was really low when idle, it runs around 5c - 8c according to the program, is that safe, the cpu is an AMD Athlon x4 750k quad core. any advice would be great, thanks guys ;p

Yes, while the sensor does not sound like it is working correctly. Unless of course you live in a freezer. I would not worry about low temps, only high ones.

Your temp sensor, or application is most likely not reporting accurate data. I would try a couple others and see if you get the same results. The coldest a CPU should get is ambient temp, and that is not easy to do.
