Give or take $50.

Wants:

  • Mid tower

    Intel Processor

240 GB SSD for the OS and some games (Nothing from Seagate, he has had bad experiences with them failing)

GPU: Nvidia is preferred, but AMD is fine if it will keep it within the budget.
Things that AREN'T needed:

  • Monitor

    Keyboard and mouse

Windows (I already have a copy)

A Hard drive other than the one for the OS, he has an extra one he can use.

Games he plans on playing:

He plans to play mainly source engine games, such as Counter Strike, Team Fortress, and Insurgency maxed out at 1080P.

So this PC doesn't need to be a beast at all since source engine games are pretty easy to run, if that helps him stay even further below his budget then that's great! But i'm sure he wouldn't mind that his PC could play harder to run games if it is still within his budget.

Thanks for your time!
