My computer keeps turning on and off after upgrading to 8gb ram?

I recently bought a corsair 8gb ddr3 1600mhz ram. The problem is since then my computer keeps turning off and on again when i try it on, but my 2gb ddr 665mhz ram is still working fine. I think it's my msi 2a9c motherboard that's the problem. Could somebody help me please i`m only 15 so buying that ram cost me a lot of my allowance, Please help.

Hi This works in mine "8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.5V 512Meg x 64 " I always advices to upgrade your Bio's, from the dell website, before upgrading.

That's the RAM speeds specified to run on this board. Do you get any beeps or led's flashing upon boot?

You should be able to go into bios and change the XMP settings.
