So me and my friend have picked up a wad of new parts today and we have encountered a problem whilst trying to put it all together.

So firstly the RAM slots on this motherboard (ddr4 I checked) seem to only clip in on the far side of the motherboard not on the bottom side which is odd cause I certainly haven't seen anything like that before, so I've plugged in my DDR4 Kingston hyper fury x RAM and nothing happens black screen and I get the 3 beep post code indicating a memory error. That's about as far as we've got I can't isolate whether or not the strange 1 clip RAM slots are the issue or the RAM itself
Any assistance would be muchly appreciated I've been racking my brain for hours trying to figure it out.

-----full specs------
PSU - Toughpower 850w gold
GPU - gtx960
MoBo - ASRock B150 gaming k4
RAM - Kingston hyper fury x 4x2 DDR4 kit
CPU - Intel i5-6600 lga 1151

This MOBO here correct? I would suggest disconnect everything except the CPU, PSU and one stick of RAM and see if you can get it to boot up. Try the ram in all slots and try each stick of ram and see if you can get it to boot with any combination at all.

Check it is not this one, Although very, very similar it only supports DDR3.

Thankyou very much, I retried slotting the RAM in different slots and because of that 1 clip design I found that you need to apply a very large force to slot them in correctly, which I wouldn't do normally but in my frustration to get it too work I just jammed it in. So yeah anyone else facing problems with this board just apply a hefty force on the ram till it slots in correctly
