Hello,

Firstly, that motherboard is an unlocked chipset, but your CPU is locked, therefore, you can't overclock, so it might save you some money to get a h97 chipset motherboard instead, without really damaging any features from your original choice.

Secondly, the suggestion to get a 600w power supply is incorrect. Your build is very good, and the fact that you are using the more power-efficient Intel/nVidia combination, means that when I entered your build into some online calculators, you only require 399w. (Basically, 400w) So I would not change your power supply at all. Keep the 550W one that you chose.

Hope this helped :)

I also have a question on the case. Is there a better case I should get?
Thanks!

I have the H97 vs Z97 dilemma often. Mostly when doing UK based builds, though. Quite often there is a Z97 board as the least expensive 9 series chipset. With the firesales going on, for 4th gen gear, the price differences have shrunk considerably. I often recommend the Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H as it is a decent board, and the cheapest H97 ATX board, with an m.2 slot. For $8 more, now, I can get an Asrock Z97pro4. Faster ram support, IMO, is worth $8. Especially when many 1866 kits are selling for same, if not less, than 1600.

Yes, there are lots of better cases that you could get ;)

It depends how much you are willing to spend on the case.
