I just installed more RAM and my PC is crashing

Long story short, I had 2x2GB of DDR3 RAM. I just added 2x4GB DDR3 RAM. They are different companies. I loaded up Black Ops 3 twice and both times the system has crashed. According to Windows, I have 12GB of usable RAM.

In a previous build I've added sticks from different manufacturers and didn't have any problems. Should I take out the older sticks and try with just the new ones?

Solution
It's generally a bad idea to mix and match RAM from different vendors for this very reason. Even doing it with a single vendor but spread across time can cause problems.

Does the new RAM and old RAM have to same ddr/timing values? If yes than Festerovic suggestion may be worth it. If no, aka the new RAM is faster, just use it only. When you mix and match the RAM will run at the lowest common denominator.

Check the BIOS (or use CPU-z) to see what the speeds of the individual RAM sticks are, and then set them manually to the lowest common denominator on the settings. Sometimes a motherboard will apply the speed of the what it detects in the first slot, and apply those settings to all of the sticks.

Also worth it: put one stick in at a time, and run memtest86 to see if there are errors.
