Hey guys so here is my friend's specs, he recently bought these parts but his computer won't boot.

MSI X58 Pro-E motherboard
MSI R7 370 graphic card: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127884&cm_re=r7_370-_-14-127-884-_-Product
G.Skill Ripjaws X 2x4GB 1600MHz: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428

After wiping his hard drive, installing the drivers for the 370, he put it in, all worked fine. At that time he had not received the ram.

Couple days later he gets the ram, removes the old ones, puts in just the ripjaws, computer boots, fans turn etc but his monitor has no display.

He tried to boot without ram, with the old ram, with another monitor, removing the CMOS battery no dice. I tried the card in my own rig and it did the same thing no display on my monitor. I removed my CMOS and it worked. He decided to RMA the card is presently waiting for the new one.

Any ideas for what may cause this?

He still has the old card lying around so it is possible for us to access the BIOS (which is up to date by the way).

TL;DR: Friend got new gfx card, worked fine. He received ram, once we put it in the monitor gets no display. I test gfx card at home it doesn't work. Card is RMA'd. While we wait for the new card back, any ideas?
