Hey guys, recently i upgraded my stock heatsink to a hyper 212 evo. Ive had this computer for about a half a year now and noticed my temps were way too high. After installing the heatsink I noticed my temps were still around 65 degrees celsius even while idling. So i reinstalled the heatsink, making sure i used enough thermal paste and tightening the heatsink well.
On startup, in my bios i see my CPU temp is at around 40. I figured it was fixed but upon logging in, i opened speccy and saw my temps were still idling very high. I dont know what to do at this point. Is it possible my sensors for my cpu is wrong reading the temps? Or is it possible my CPU is just fried and will always be at a high temp? Ive had a stock heatsink for about a year, so it has been at a high temp for most of its life.
While gaming my performance is good, i have a lot of crashes though while playing gta 5 and other games. My cpu is an amd a10-7850k.
I really do not know what to do at this point, please help.
