Hello, I remember playing this game where the beginning story line is the main charter has to go into a computer portal of some kind to save about 10 people that got sucked in. The main character starts out in the "caveman" ages and has to work his way up through medieval and world war II and eventually the future. all the while he is battling bosses. At the end he travels to a alien ship and fights a mechanical shark that shoots blue laser balls. when he defeats this boss he wins the game and all the people are released. I know its not much but I would really like some ideas. thanks

sounds a wee bit like Time Soldiers, which i used to play A LOT and LOVED IMMENSELY in arcade format
