Laptop CPU Fan Works Sometimes only

Hi,

I have lenovo 3000 G430 Laptop when i switch on the laptop the cpu fan is running till the login screen then it's stops and its' running sometimes only it frequently stops. and i have Weak CMOS will it cause this issue or it's and problem with CPU fan or motherboard

Your laptop uses a Core 2 Duo processor. The fan may not run continuously, depending on the load on the CPU.

Have you looked at the CPU temps via software? If the temps are ok, than the fan taking a break is a nonissue. I use CoreTemp to measure the CPU temp.

But in all the laptops fan run continuously isn't it?? that is why i feel suspecious

no , the fan in laptop runs only when the temperature of processor goes up. the fan will never run continuously if you are not using much of your processor

Yes, the laptop fan runs as needed, and not continuously. When using a demanding application, the CPU will produce heat, and the fan may run continuously in that situation.
