To start here are my specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro edition
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz(8 CPUs)
AMD Radeon R290 Tri-X 4GB
8GB RAM, 2 4GB Ripjaw Gskills
250GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO
Consair 750M power supply
Asrock z97 Pro4 Motherboard
In Win steel case with 5 140mm fans

I started to notice this problem a week and a half ago when I was playing League of Legends. 2 seconds after the game started, it shutdown and restarted. Then it worked the rest of the night. It worked fine the next 3 days then the same thing happened again. I thought there might be a problem but then I started playing Final Fantasy 13 on max settings two days ago and it worked like a charm for the 3 hours I played.

Then today I got Fallout 4 and it won't let me play for more than 5 mins. after starting it before it shuts down and restarts by itself. After the first time it did it I dusted out my case and ram with canned air thinking that would fix my problem. Booted it up, it crashed again in 5 minutes or less after starting the game. So I downloaded speedfan to check my temps and my GPU is the only thing that gets remotely hot and it tops out around 60 degrees Celsius when it decides to crash. Which I don't think should be enough to crash my system. Then I downloaded all my windows updates, ran advanced system care, driver booster, malware fighter, and smart defrag. Still didn't help.

So far it has only crashed when playing League or Fallout. Any help as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
better check the gpu drivers, uninstall the current drivers and update it with a stable release of the drivers, update bios and check for any patches for the games

Hi,

There are two possibilities here although they are not limited to.

PSU - Issue, not supplying an adequate amount of power to the components, when gaming starts the watts needed to be drawn increases, the PSU cannot handle this and so restarts the machine.

Memory- Issues with the memory, need's a re-seat, defect memory.

I would see if you can get a spare PSU that matches your specification in regards to the 12+ volt amps needed for your GPU and the amount of watts as a whole needed for the PSU to run normally even while under high stress loads.

I just played started up my computer and played the witcher for about 45 minutes before it decided to reboot. I just bought my PSU in march when I build my computer, do you think it could already have gone bad? I am not super great with computer parts so I am not sure how long they last. What do you mean by issues with memory, do you think my ram could be the problem? Thanks again

I just bought a VS650 Corsair PSU to run along with Kingston HyperX Blue 4gb + Corsair XMS3 4gb
Motherboard - A75MA-G55 and Zotac GTX750TI 2gb
After playing GTA 5 for about 15 minutes, the pc shuts itself down without any warning and does not reboot

Any solutions?

His suggestion didn't work for me, I accidentally picked that and you cant remove it. It could work in some cases just not mine. My problem ended up being my power supply. I picked up a new one and now it works like new again. Thats what I would suggest. You can get the EVGA 850W on amazon for around $110, I just got that and it works great.
