Hi PC building gurus,
I'm looking for help to build my next gaming machine.

I already have:
hard drive
case
monitor
keyboard
mouse

I need the rest! I'd like it to be as top of the line as possible - 1080p is the highest resolution I'm looking for.

Please help! Thank you!

That´s a great find. With that card, you´d get budget just down below $600.

Can you provide model numbers of your existing hardware, as it may involve considerations regarding hardware selection for the remaining components. For example, if you have an OEM case, you may not be able to use a full size ATX motherboard, most OEM units are micro-ATX cases and don't support full sized boards, some won't support full sized ATX power supplies either.

Oh, the case is full ATX. I bought it recently as a solo item, not as part of a system. The hard drive is a 3tb seagate sata. USB hp keyboard and mouse. ASUS monitor w/ HDMI.

I'd save a few more bucks and do something like this. While the above build list looks good on the surface, and will work fine, you really don't need 16GB for a gaming machine, that G1 series PSU is not a recommended unit for a system with discreet graphics due to it's lower internal quality and the Extreme3 is not a fantastic board. I'd save a bit more before pulling the trigger.

Why limit yourself to the 2GB version of the r9-380 in 2015?

Darkbreezes suggestion below is good, and I have a few suggestions to improve it:

1) Either get include a cheap CPU Cooler, like Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO ($25) or get a cheaper non k-series chip. K series is meant for overclocking, and then you need a cooler. No OC, no K-series chip. No K-series chip, means options for cheaper motherboard.

With no OC. You could get Intel Core i5-4590 Quad-Core 3.3 GHz for $199 and save $17. Pair it with MSI Computer Corp. H81M-E34 for $57 and save another $20

2) Skip the optical drive, unless you know you´re gonna need it. Chances are that you already got a CD/DVD-drive already but didnt mention it. Shave another $14 off here.

CPU is fine, I like the extra Turboboost though, but your choice is cheaper - lets stick with it.
Motherboard. The H97 Pro4 has 4 RAM slots, whereas the H81M-E33 only has 2, but nobody uses more than 2 slots for gaming. H97 Pro4 has lower heat output, which basically means it has better OC potential. And with a locked core, that´s not gonna happen either. So on a already tight budget, I´d go with a cheap but solid motherboard without much BS.
Videocard is fine too, but I have more love for Nvidia GTX 960, which performs close enough - and with OC on GPU you´d get same or better performance. GTX 960 is a great card of OC, and there´s plenty of reports of cards being overclocked stable at 1400, 1500 and even some close to 1600 Mhz,.
PSU I´d highly suggest EVGA SuperNOVA 750W at $49.99.

    * Tighter voltage regulation. It´s prettier too.
    * 10 Year Warranty
    * Excellent ripple suppression
    * Semi-passive, meaning not loud
    * Gold Certified

Now here comes the interesting thing. We´ve shaved down so much on the budget, that you may be able to afford the GeForce GTX 970. And the cheapest one, is also one of the most silent ones - always a plus in my book. Here´s an updated list, that shows how far you can push on 600 USD
