Got my OS on an SSD how can I get my HDD to become the primary down loader for stuff?

So today after blood sweet and tears I got my OS on my 128GB SSD and working and everything. I have 2 TB hardrive as well. When I download stuff my SSD pops up as the primary one to download to. How can I get my HDD to be the primary one to download to?
by the way I really couldn't see a difference in boot up speed from my HDD and SSD did I do something wrong.

I think you will have to manually change the download destination folder for the programs you are using, Chrome, uTorrent, etc...
