Looking for a new case with excellent airflow for air cooling

Hello there people!

I'm looking to buy a new ATX midi case for my PC and I need advice as it's been roughly 8 years since I last purchased a case and so much has changed since then. I'm going to go for air cooling.

What I'm looking for in a case (in this order):

- airflow (my highest priority)
- cleanable dust filters
- cable management
- build quality
- being able to use CM 212 EVO CPU cooler (159 mm tall)
- fan controller would be nice
- looks

What does NOT concern me so much:

- noise levels
- crapload of fans

I've been considering open mesh front PC cases as there is simply nothing blocking the fresh air to enter horizontally into the case.

My contenders so far:

Fractal Design ARC Midi R2 - probably the most ideal case in my case (sorry), looks very boring though

Cooler Master 690 III - seems to have good airflow, no idea about the build quality though

Corsair Graphite 230T - nice airflow and I like the looks of this one the most (orange version)

NZXT Source 530 - I find it ugly, but it's said to be a good midi case

Antec One - somehow it is said to have great airflow, no idea how, it looks kinda dated

One of my friends offered to sell me his used Corsair Obsidian 650D for a lower price than most of these cases, but I find it a tad too big for my needs, I don't really find it as pretty as most people do and I have absolutely no idea about its airflow/cooling capabilities. The review of some Corsair cases frightened me out, like 550D is said to have horrible airflow, so I must know how good this case is in terms of temperatures if I want to consider it.

Please help me out guys, I'm completely lost and cannot make a clear decision.

I recommend the ARC Midi R2.

Fractal Design makes rock solid cases, it has excellent cable management, very good airflow, and dust filters to keep the case clean. It will also be able to house your EVO 212 without issue, and comes with a built-in fan controller.

The Midi R2 only has a few drawbacks:
- Looks very plain
- Stock fans are known to be loud, so they would proably need replacing
- Fan controller powered by Molex (not a big deal...just not spectacular either)

The Arc Midi R2 recieved:

- "Must Have Editor's Choice Award" from Tweaktown
- "Seal of Approval" from Overclockers.net
- "Editor's Choice Award" from TechPowerUp

Yes, I've been considering it, but now also considering SilverStone Kublai KL05. It is said to have superior cooling performance. Or maybe I wait until SilverStone Raven RVX01 hits the shelves as it uses the 90 degrees mobo placement for best cooling and will also be a budget priced case. The best case I'd buy would be the SilverStone Fortress FT05, I only wish it wasn't so horribly overpriced.

Alright, I ended up ordering an NZXT Noctis 450. Although it was a tough match between it and Phanteks Enthoo Pro. Unfortunately I cannot find a test comparing these 2 cases in terms of cooling, but the Noctis dominated the temp tests almost everywhere it was tested among other cases. I only hope the single 140mm exhaust will do the job and catch up with the 3x 120mm front intakes and will not circulate hot air inside the case.
