UEFI BIOS not working after update

My mobo is Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P.
Processor: FX-8350
GPU: GTX 970
Screen interface: DVI-D/DVI-I
^ In case it does matter

So before when I tried to open up BIOS Setup it did open, but i couldn't do anything: cursor didn't work, neither did keyboard (connected through PS/2), so I thought I'd update my bios, because I saw this option before. I used @BIOS which I got on the CD with my mobo. I rebooted the PC and I got 'BOOTMGR is missing'. So I checked how to fix corrupted BIOS using backup one. Backup BIOS was also corrupted. I've tried almost everything, but I'm slightly getting worried. Right now I'm clearing my CMOS as this is last thing left to do. (I didn't do it before because GPU blocks my CMOS battery and I have to take it out).

Please tell me in the meantime what are other things that I can do to reset BIOS.

BOOTMGR is a Windows-sided problem? That explains alot... So my problem is that i can't do anything in BIOS. Neither mouse or keyboard input does work. Also when I enter boot menu I have literally nothing, blue UEFI BIOS screen, nothing to select, nothing to exit.

I'm not too hip on that software bios flashing deal too much can go wrong over manually with a pendrive .. had a msi board I used it with and that broke me for ever doing it that way ...

there Q-flash is the better way [opinion] that's the manual with a usb pendrive

also you got to be sure what revision board you got is it a revision 1.0 or a 2.0 [as you see theres 2]

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5216#sp

so do you really know if that through windows bios flash got the correct one or not ?? internet connection went bad and corrupted the bios file ??

in my opinion the better way

I really don't know what to say on the mouse/keyboard not working in it now ?? maybe too late ??

REV 1.0 - my mobo says. Also, idk how to use Q-Flash :/

@EDIT: Nevermind! Q-Flashing right away! One question tho: does it has to be empty USB flash drive?

Update: I have no idea how, I've done several things, unplugged EVERYTHING from my PC etc. and.... Q-Flash and Boot Setup work. I've ran Q-Flash and it showed that BIOS version I've tried to install isn't correct. I'm pretty sure I've chosen correct one. Anyway..... I've managed to boot my Linux (Live version) and it worked. So my problems right now are: BIOS Setup is not working and BOOTMGR missing. What can I do with BOOTMGR? Can I somehow put it in right place using linux?

@EDIT: So... It doesn't detect my mouse and the buzzer sounds creepy o_O (But that might be my fault)

to my seeing I'm not there for any kind of hands on is the the bios defult sata setting should be ide - [sata ports 1-2-- ide-''ahci''-raid] you may need to be set on ahci if that's how windows was loaded on to the drive . it it was it will not boot on any other setting but ahci

it sthat or the drive or that windows file got corrupted some how or way??

then look at things like this to move on to test

I see my mistake now. On the GIGABYTE's site there's only rev. 2.0 BIOS. Where can I find rev 1.0 BIOS?

@EDIT: Found 1.0, altho it was under the rev. 2.0 post. well played gigabyte.

I only had 2 board I ever need to flash the first was that MSI I said above and did it cause I thought I was smart and knew it all better [and learned form that as I said ]

the others were asus trying to make them stable [why now I see asus boards got way more bios updates the any other like boards from other brands]

this board I'm on now is just over 2 years old and still on its first release bios - works fine and dandy

a bios flash to me is a near last ditch effort to gain stability or some silly compatibly issue that rarely pops up

bottom line is if its working fine don't fook with it

I didn't do anything to my bios until it stopped working... So the issue right now is my windows, it still has problems with bootmgr, also my mouse doesn't work on linux (in BIOS it does, but it worked on linux before)

I'm back and I'm running a system startup repair right now, we'll see what'll come out of it.

@EDIT:

So the mouse is on USB,
windows startup repair was running on a diffrent windows on a diffrent hdd (i've removed this installation completely so there's no way it could run)
and right now I'm downloading legal (shh) windows 7 copy so I can run windows recovery.

Yeah.

Also the mouse works in BIOS, so idk if USB is a problem.... i've tried several Linux versions and each one had some problems, some of them didn't boot properly, so there's still something wrong with BIOS.

maybe ? maybe just something wrong on the board seeing Linux had and having issues ?? may try a new battery for the board as well maybe going dead and cant maintain bios settings ??

sad thing is you just can do all you can and maybe stumble across it issue and resolve or you come to the point its time to move on to bigger and better things

I had a giga 590sli board , man I liked it and it was fast the one day issues in the end there was a swollen cap on the board split and leaking and for fun opened the psu and a few of then the same , but the one on the board was the killer

Capacitors on my mobo look solid, so I don't think I'll be having such problems... Anyway my internet speed is reeeeally slow and it says it'll be downloaded in half an hour. I'll prepare a disk and a portable disk drive.

@EDIT: Gosh I'm so bored, cause I was waiting all night for Fallout 4 to download and now I can't play it xD
