So I have the Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3. Chipset AMD 990FX + SB950

When I upgraded my mobo last time I had to reinstall everything after the local computer guys transferred did the work...

If I get the new-ish Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 R5. Chipset AMD 990X
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128859&ignorebbr=1

Will I have to reinstall everything if I swap mobos or can i just pull the old one out and pop this in and continue like nothing happened?

Solution
Because they have the same chipset, you don't need reinstall the program/OS, just connect the hardware, the OS will do some updates, and that is all.

Are they the same chipset though? One is 990X and the other is 990FX...
