When clicking play on fallout 4 the launcher for the game loads.

However, when clicking play the launcher closes (as it should) but the game doesn't load.

PC Specs:
CPU: FX 8350
GPU: GTX 770
RAM: Patriot Viper Red v3 8gb 1600mhz

Fallout 4 and steam are both installed on my SSD however, my other steam games are saved on my HDD.

Thanks for responding, however I just updated to the full release Nvidia driver and it has not made a difference :(
Should I update to the latest beta drivers?

I just checked the latest drivers including the beta and there is no beta driver that is more up-to-date than the full release driver. Therefore my drivers are the most recent and up-to-date already.

Yeah but i also saw on toms and cant find it now, some guy had same problem, i call it load loop. You could rename Fallout 4 launcher to something else like "Fallout 4 launcher 1" in steamapps common.... And the real Fallout 4 to fallout 4 Launcher, i saw it on youtube by some guy who made the fix from toms.Idk it will help but you should try it.

soo...what is the most recent drivers on AMD..?

If you have graphics or driver issues, one of the most common fixes is a clean uninstall and removal of your graphics drivers.

To uninstall your drivers, first download and run Display Driver Uninstaller, and follow it's recommendations of booting into safe mode and ect.
(This is a direct download link so you don't grab the wrong version)
http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,20.html

You'll download a compressed file called "[Guru3D.com]-DDU.zip"
Right click and choose extract.
Go into the folder and run the DDU v##.##.exe
This will extract more files to this folder.
Run Display Driver Uninstaller.exe
Choose Yes when it asks you to boot into SafeMode.
After you've rebooted into safe mode.
When DDU comes up, if it hasn't selected your GPU manufacturer (Nvidia/AMD/Intel) then choose it from the drop down list
Press the Clean and Restart option
If a window comes up asking to disable the Windows automatic installation of display drivers click yes.

After (or before removing the old drivers, just put the new ones on the desktop or somewhere handy) rebooting back into Windows, manually download the latest drivers from Nvidia or AMD, don't use auto detect, choose you GPU model and OS from the drop down lists.

Upgrading the driver is key, but playing it on a Laptop is asking for trouble

The game is playable on my laptop. Been playing for over 2 week now while I am looking around for a new desktop GPU.
