Help, computer games start to lag on multi monitor setup

I recently bought a 3rd monitor to plug into my graphics card. All 3 monitors work smoothly but when I am playing hearthstone and I am clicking on different monitor than the game screen the game becomes very choppy. The game works just fine with 2 monitors however, so I am not sure if its just my video card or something else that I can add / turn down to get it running smooth with 3?
My specs are:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. MAXIMUS VII HERO
SAMSUNG HD103SJ SCSI Disk Device
AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (4096 MB of dedicated Video Memory)
16gb of ram

you can turn down settings. 3 monitors is more intensive to run then 2 and your performance will be effected

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean just down turn the resolution on some of the monitors or something else?

no keep them at their native resolution. turn down settings in the game. i would also overclock the gpu. if you install msi afterburner it will be pretty easy to do.

check Hearthstones settings for a full screen-windowed or a borderless window option. There is no reason that you be having performance issues just playing hearthstone in a single monitor. Are you using eyefinity or extended desktop?

I had it in full screen but I just switched to a windowed mode and that seems to help a little but it still is choppy while playing it and typing this at the same time.. I am currently using the extended desktop setting in the windows display setting, I have seen eyefinity in the cataslyst control center but I do not know anything about it.

Still being choppy when I am playing the game and doing something on the other monitors (not playing games on the other monitors.)

Yeah, when I am playing hearthstone but have youtube or something open on the other but i don't click outside of hearthstone its fine.

ok have you tried running it windowed at a lower res? does it go back to normal when you click back on the game?

this might be a issue with the game rather then the computer. you could try overclocking the gpu a bit to see if that helps it
