Gaming monitors tend to focus more on speed vs. color reproduction. This makes getting a monitor for both gaming and graphic design near impossible or very expensive. For example I have dell ultrasharp monitors and I love them. The colors are amazing, but being IPS monitors they do tend to ghost a bit. I can still game fine, but moving txt can be hard to read because it will blur.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you need to get your priorities in order first. If gaming is number 1 then get a fast IPS panel. However if your not doing any read serious competitive gaming or playing slower moving games then I would suggest getting a Dell ultrasharp.
