and a WD Velociraptor Hard Drive
Running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Switch to a 500G Samsung EVO SSD. The upgrade will cost you just a little more than 150 dollars US and will cut your boot times down to less than 20 seconds. Program load times will drop to virtually nothing and gaming performance will show a tremendous improvement. You'll be throwing rocks at that Raptor when you realize the performance difference an SSD makes.

If he is gaming on that machine, which he hasnt specified then he would get FAR more gains from upgrading his graphics card then he would from his hard drive

Well my hard drive will no longer boot up, but my graphic cards where acting buggy as well. I'm currently using an old raptor drive. The suggestion of a new SSD sounds good. Will my board support newer cards? Which GPU's do you recommend and why? Is my motherboard still sufficient?
