Currently, I have four memory slots in which each is occupied by 2GB cards. I checked my PC and apparently it only supports up to 16GB, which is just what I need. Will the following cards work with my PC?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233536

My current PC specs:

System Manufacturer/Model Number: Hewlett Packard HPE-500y

OS: Windows 10

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor

Motherboard: Foxconn 2AB1

Memory: 8 GB

Graphics Card: GeForce GT 730

Thank you very much! I bought them off Newegg and used a promo code which saved me! Again, thank you for suggesting the adequate cards. Really appreciated! :)

Good evening. I know you already received an answer, but thought I would provide some input. The Hewlett Packard HPE-500y listing on HP states a maximum of 16GB across 4 slots. That would suggest 4GB max per slot to get to your 16GB that you want. However, you state that the motherboard is a Foxconn 2AB1 which appears to differ from what HP lists. Did you visually confirm that it's a Foxconn 2AB1? The HP listing for the motherboard is an N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX which is a Foxconn brand. The Foxconn 2AB1 says 32GB as a maximum so there seems to be a discrepancy. I understand you already made the purchase of RAM. I did just want to voice my thoughts on it.

Here's a link that I was referencing for the HP unit. Maybe there are similar units with different motherboards.

Hello, and thanks for your information! And yes, I am sure it's a Foxconn 2AB1. I've opened up my tower before just to confirm and I've also used this program called Speccy, which also states my motherboard as the latter. But now that you mentioned that, I did more research and apparently it does supports 32GB like you said.

Well, I'm not too concerned. I use various apps at a time and especially the latest Photoshop on a daily basis. Which eats up RAM like a monster. I think 16 GB would be just right for this. I don't do gaming on my PC, so I'm not looking for super performance hardware at the moment. Oh and budget friendly hardware too. :)

But I do appreciate your reply thought! Made me do more research for my motherboard. Thanks for the info!
