ASRock X99 Extreme4 ram compatability question

I'm thinking about getting an ASRock X99 Extreme4 for my next motherboard and was going to use the Corsair Vengeance 16gig x 4 kit for 64gig ram, but I don't see the kit on the "approved memory list", although I do see that they approve the 8gig sticks (both value and vengeance) singly, or in kit's up to 32 gig. Would there be a problem with me using the 16x4 or 8x8 corsair vengeance kits? Would appreciate comments/input on this particular motherboard and ASRock as a company. I have never used them before.

One of the reasons I'm interested in buying is is it's Toms Hardware approved.

I do music and video production and need at least the 64gig ram, but noticed the board says it supports 128gig. Is that only certain kinds of processor/ram combo's (like Xeon/server ram) or could I achieve it with a 5820k cpu and ddr4 ram?

AsRock has a good reputation on this board. I remain skeptical because they only offer a 1year warranty in the US vs an industry standard 3yr. Given the lower cost I may use them for a secondary build next year. If this is a production/commercial build that would cost you money if it was down and you don't have a backup build I would consider a higher quality board or a same day replacement warranty from Microcenter or similar.

For my 5820 build I bought the Asus Sabertooth with 5yr warranty.

Hmm they show a 3 yr parts and labor warranty on the board at newegg... also, does anyone know if I will have trouble with a 8x8 or 4x16 corsair ram kit if it's not shown on the approved list, even though single corsair sticks are?

X99 motherboards has 8 ram slots so it's fine

You are correct. Newegg does now show a 3 year warranty. Microcenter only has a one year. When I was researching an x99 board a couple of months ago I could have sworn newegg only had one year. I even looked up the warranty policy on AsRock website and it appeared the retailer provides warranty support so the period is determined by them. Seems odd considering the reviews on newegg of people attempting an RMA having to go through AsRock directly.

Anyho, just don't get it at Microcenter.

Don't know about the Extreme4, but the Extreme6 does NOT boot with the 4x16 Vengeance Kit :( If someone has a solution, I am very interested.
