Hello everybody!

I have a Dell Precision T7500 Workstation, single Intel Xeon X5650 @ 2,67Ghz and Nvidia Quadro 4000 2GB, which I want to upgrade. My mobo is Dell 06fw8p. Will Nvidia Quadro K4200 fit my machine?

Hi kanewolf,

K4200 requires a PCIe 2.0X16, the same like those on my mobo.
It has the same dimension as my quadro 4000 and requires less power.
The metal brcket with the ports at the rear side of K4200 is a bit different than the quadro 4000 one..But I suppose it should fit..
I have chated with Dell and Nvidia and the told me that it should fit, but I cannot find a formal compatibility brochure, so as to be sure.

You may need different cables to deal with the different ports. Otherwise everything should be just fine. You probably will not find a formal compatibility document. The T7500 is old enough that Dell won't be updating the documentation. I know of nothing that should prohibit it's use.

The ports are the same, but the design of the bracket is a bit different.
Anyway, I was ready to buy it, but the official Dell vendor here in Greece told me that if hte card does not fit, I cannot return it.
So I have done a lot of search, but have not find a single T7500 with the specific card.
