Just got a new motherboard and CPU (z170 Mark 1 & i5 6400) installed them both today and once I got it all plugged in everything seemed to be running fine, I got into the bios and shortly after it shut down and rebooted itself. Now nothing even shows up on the screen and it reboots itself after a few seconds. Also turns straight on when the power supply is turned back on.

GPU: Asus R9 390x
Ram: 16gb (DDR4 2400)
PSU: Antec EA750

Sorry if there is anything I've missed, but just ask and I'm sure I can tell. Thank you.

can you post a pic of your setup... I think the 390x might not be getting enough power to run properly.. The PSU is fine.. it is the setup that might be wrong.. Is the board set to run dedicated GPU by default.. If you can access BIOS try enabling the onboard gpu of the i5 6400 so we can isolate the problem

Cable management is pretty horrendous at the moment as I've had to mover everything around a heap of times.
At the moment I don't think it's the hardware anymore I think theres a problem with Windows. Or even the hard drive it's on.
Also I only currently have the reset switch plugged in to the power switch, which works but I don't have any of the others in.
The GPU is running fine though.

I wanted to ask if you are supplying power to GPU through two separate 12V rails as the 390X runs at 42amps while one 12V rails only gives max 30amps. Also I recommend that you enable the iGPU of the processor and boot with that to figure out if the problem is with one of the components or with windows

Forgot to post, but reinstalled Windows and everything is working fine now. Thanks for your help though.
