I have Blast internet w/comcast.I've only been getting 11 to 22 mps. w/a netgear n300.Is there a way to suck bandwidth speed?

Encryption type will not help speed in this case. Make sure you are on a 5ghz connection with 802.11n in your Netgear, that will improve Wifi speeds possibly. Also you can get a new modem. It gave me a extra 4mbps when I upgraded from Comcast's leased modem, plus no monthly!
