So I'm looking into which option would actually be more queit and effective.

The option one is pretty much any big cpu heatsink attached directly to gpu socket. Vram would have attached mini heatsinks.

Option two: just remove stock gpu fans and zip-tie or somehow other way attach 2 120mm fans (also dampening material etc.) The cool think about this way is you wouldn't have t find a way to somehow cool the vrams or other parts of gpu 'cause it just haves the stock heatsink.

So that would be all. My gpu currently is gigabyte r9 280. I would guess option 2 is more vialable, but I just want other peoples opinion.

Thanks.

Yeah, I have watched a lot of videos like this. I just want to know is it worth to put an actual cpu cooler or just mount fans on top of stock gpu heatsink

Well its not wroth it as you will not be able to properly put this in a case there will be issues with vram and voltage controller cooler but its ok if it is an External Gpu which is most likely not the case. The weight of the 212 evo could break the card if placed in the case.

Well you could just make a support for it.

What about option 2 then? It would be something like this http://i.imgur.com/GBFnhkCl.jpg
