Okay, so here's the situation.
I recently swapped my C drive, which was a standard platter drive, for a shiny new SSD, which is awesome. Since I was reinstalling the OS anyway, I also upgraded to the 64 bit version of Windows 7 from the 32 bit version, because I had it lying around but had been too lazy to bother yet. So far so good, everything is smooth and working. However, now my secondary hard drive (SATA platter drive) doesn't show. It shows in the device manager, it shows in the BIOS, but does not show under My Computer. From what I've read online it seems like formatting it should solve the issue, however, the drive has hundreds of gigs of data on it, some of which would be really hard to replace, that I really don't want to lose. So my question is, do I have any other options, and why is it doing this in the first place given that it was already formatted and working properly before the upgrade? I am given to understand that Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit use the same file system, so the way it's currently formatted should be fine, unless I have been misled on that account. Thanks!
